Heidi doesn’t begin with a strict plan or a finished vision.
Instead, she allows intuition and faith to guide the process—often selecting colors with her eyes closed and trusting the creative moment to unfold.
The process begins inside of a handmade mold. As the resin flows, it cures, and is then draped over a handcrafted stand. Where the colors blend, textures emerge, and each piece reveals its own personality.
The result is functional art that feels vibrant, joyful, and alive.

Heidi Johnson
Delette Resin Designs is the creative work of Arkansas artist Heidi Johnson, a self-taught resin artist and registered nurse whose passion for art grew from years of crafting and experimentation.
What began as a personal creative outlet quickly filled an entire room of her home with colorful resin vases.
Heidi’s artistic process is rooted in faith, patience, and the freedom to let creativity unfold naturally. Instead of controlling every detail, she embraces the unexpected beauty that emerges as the resin flows and forms.
For Heidi, creating art is a peaceful and spiritual experience.
“When I create, I feel heavenly,” she says.
THE Art OF THE POUR
Each Delette Resin Designs piece begins inside a handmade mold, where liquid resin is carefully poured and begins its transformation.
As the resin flows and cures, layers of acrylic paint, mica powders, crushed glass, and natural stones are incorporated to create depth, color, and texture. Once ready, the piece is removed and draped over a handcrafted stand, allowing the form to develop naturally.
Sometimes Heidi gently guides the movement using heat or tools. Other times, she allows the materials to move freely, trusting the process as it unfolds.
As the resin settles, colors blend, textures emerge, and each piece reveals its own unique personality.
The result is a sculptural vase where color, light, and movement come together in a way that can never be duplicated.
